Durafenz products are warranted for 2 years from date of manufacture.

Terms of Warranty

All painted & powder-coated surfaces change their appearance when exposed to the weather. Changes that take place occur at different rate, being dependant upon the aggressiveness of the environment. Salt water pools & seaside locations are considered a very severe environment. Some bore water has salt & mineral contents that can cause pre galvanised fencing to corrode also care must be taken with garden & lawn fertilisers as they are acidic & can cause corrosion. If salts or minerals are allowed to sit on the painted surface for extended periods of time the corrosive properties may cause permanent damage to the powder-coated surface & the substrate metal.

Regular cleaning is recommended, the frequency depends on the environment the fence or gates are installed. Regular hosing down with high pressure water spray & occasional washing with warm water & a mild detergent will improve the performance of the coloured finish. Should damage occur, impact damage etc, or chipping of the protective coating spot rust may appear. Repair by wire brush cleaning followed by Zinc - Rich primer & two coats of touch up paint that can be supplied by your Dura-Fenz distributor. Dura-Fenz fencing & gate products are warranted from defects arising from the manufacture of the product for a period of one year from the date of purchase. The warranty will be null & void if the product is installed by the purchaser other than in accordance with the company’s instructions. Dura-Fenz reserves the right to amend designs & specifications without notice.

Dura-Fenz recommends that in a harsh enviroment within 2 Km of the sea or river systems and bore watered areas then stainless steel or aluminium raw material is used when the order is placed for manufacture. This will ensure a long life w ith no red rust. The powder coat finish should also be sealed with a top clear laquer coat. ASK YOUR SALES REPRESENTATIVE.

It is important to note Dura-Fenz cannot warrant pre-Galvanised steel with a powder finish in a high risk enviroment so please order the right base material for your enviroment.
