Fence Specifications

All Dura-Fenz steel products are manufactured from pre-galvanised steel inside and outside with a galvanised coating thickness equivalent to 25 microns. We use a corrosion resistant stainless steel weld to further eliminate any worries of rust. After fabrication the fencing is treated with a zinc phosphorous etching treatment and then finished with a very durable baked on powder coated finish.

All fence styles are available using several material sizes

If you are in a coastal or chemically acidic area (close to fertilizer or chemical plants) we recommend either a Zinc Primed, Coloured and Clear coat 3 stage process or an Aluminium product.

If the appearance of the fence is not a main concern, Hot Dip Galvanising can be used, however in choosing this finish one must be prepared to expect a very poor finish and the possibility of warping.

All the fittings, brackets and spear tops used by Dura-Fenz are a carefully mixed alloy of aluminium, copper and silicon, which remain rust free and we further chromate dip these items to alleviate any reaction between the steel and alloy products.

We use only HDG or zinc coated screws and bolts to avoid rust stains, so we know the fencing will stand up for a very long time. We also provide a can of touch-up with each job so that these small screws can be colour coded to match your Dura-Fenz product.

Dura-Fenz hinge sets are either ball bearing type in design or a gudgeon pin design, which pivot on a hard wearing nylon bush requiring no lubrication, so that wear and tear isn't an issue. Our spring hinge fits internally to the gate for a very neat finish and also features the nylon bushes to ensure the gate closes every time.
